Abstract
Total elbow arthroplasty with a semiconstrained, linked system has evolved as a reliable and predictable treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, posttraumatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, and comminuted, unreconstructable distal humerus fractures of the elbow. This chapter details the steps to successfully implant a semiconstrained, linked arthroplasty and details the pearls, pitfalls, and controversies of each step. The goal of the chapter is that the reader is sufficiently prepared to perform a successful primary total elbow arthroplasty.
