Abstract
8 Canine renal allografts were removed and multiple needle biopsies were done. Biopsies from each kidney were compared with full-thickness sections of the kidney and with one another for the severity of acute rejection. The histopathologic changes of acute rejection were found to be distributed uniformly throughout the kidney. We conclude that percutaneous biopsy provides a representative picture of acute rejection histopathology.
