Abstract
A case is presented that shows the use of 99Tc(m) pertechnetate scintigrams in the diagnosis of abruptio placentae. Early diagnosis of this condition by scintigram can aid the clinician in his management of this disorder and, hopefully, prevent serious sequelae.
