Abstract

The results of this study indicate that naloxone diminishes ironinitiated and catalyzed peroxidation in liposomes in a concentration-dependent manner. This supports the hypothesis that the action of naloxone in vivo during amelioration of spinal cord trauma and hemorrhagic shock may substantially involve its lipid antioxidant properties.
