Abstract
The laser offers the head and neck surgical oncologist another tool for the management of various laryngeal malignancies. The advantages of the laser include precision, hemostasis, and decreased tissue edema. The disadvantages include coagulation necrosis at the wound and specimen margins, which may make histopathologic diagnosis and determination of clear margins more difficult.1
