Abstract
At the time of their admission, 90 psychiatric outpatients completed self-report measures of four ego functions and a personality test that assesses eight traits plus conflict. Results showed high correlations between three of the four ego functions and personality-trait measures and moderate correlations between these measures and outcome measures of psychotherapy.
