Abstract
In this experiment of fate mapping of the mouse otocyst, hair cells observed in the cristae and maculae of the dorsal portions of the explanted otocysts which contain no elements of statoacoustico ganglion complex supports Van De Water's findings that a neurotrophic effect is not necessary for the differentiation of sensory cells.
