Abstract

People with type 1 diabetes (T1D) have a high risk of early morbidity and mortality from coronary artery disease. A study in this issue of Cell Metabolism (Nagareddy et al., 2013) now identifies a mechanism causing impaired regression of atherosclerosis in T1D.
