Abstract
Epstein-Barr virus-associated smooth muscle tumor is a rare clinical entity that can present anywhere in the body. It can have a similar appearance to other aggressive neoplasms, such as squamous cell carcinoma, lymphoma, and Kaposi sarcoma. Although rare, this entity should be considered in the differential diagnosis of head and neck lesions in a patient who is immunocompromised.
