Complications are inevitable in all kinds of surgery. Abdominal wall complications decreased significantly after the adoption of minimally invasive techniques for operations in the abdomen. In this chapter, specific abdominal wall complications are divided into intraoperative (as access related vascular ones and subcutaneous emphysema) or postoperative (SSI, pain, hernias, etc.) and are revised, aiming the prevention, prompt identification, and management.
