Abstract
Frontal sinus surgery has remained one of the most challenging endeavors for many sinus and skull base surgeons. The advancement of endoscopic technology and image guidance has provided various alternatives to previously aggressive open techniques for treatment of frontal sinus disease. Surgeons continue to explore new endoscopic approaches to address difficult frontal sinus disease in order to avoid extensive tissue dissection and resection, thereby minimalizing the risk for postoperative stenosis. This chapter discusses a classification that incorporates the previously described endoscopic approaches to the frontal sinus, along with the senior author’s more recently described procedures.
