Abstract

A uterine myoma showed early, intense uptake of Tc-99m MAG3 on a renal scan of a transplanted kidney. Both the uptake and washout of the radiotracer is seen earlier in the myoma than in the kidney because of its greatly enhanced vascularity. In fact, perfusion of the transplanted kidney appeared slightly delayed, which is likely related to its being relatively less vascular compared with the fibroid.
