Abstract
The psychotherapy of the aged has so far received scant attention, although there is great need for it. After a brief psychopathological review, the authors discuss the general principles and conditions of gerontopsychotherapy, its limits, special characteristics and technical aspects, the transference phenomena, the aims and the methods.
