Abstract
Gavrilov and colleagues disagree with our article in Gerontology [Vijg and Le Bourg: Gerontology 2017;63:432-434]. Here we address their arguments regarding human life-history strategies, maximal lifespan, and the proposal that one could live soon for 150 years.
