Abstract
The fine structures of three colloid cysts derived from the region of the foramen of Monro have been examined. Two types of cells, a lighter, ciliated and a denser, nonciliated cell formed the single layered epithelial lining. The surface of the nonciliated cells was coated with an electron-dense material. The fine structure of the cysts suggests that they are derived from an endodermal structure rather than from ncuroepithclium.
