Spontaneous resolution of peripheral arterial emboli: Arteriographic demonstration

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

It is not widely recognized that systemic arterial emboli can undergo spontaneous resolution. Three patients with systemic embolic disease had serial arteriographic documentation of complete or partial resolution of emboli to peripheral arteries. Spontaneous resolution should be considered when evaluating studies of fibrinolytic therapy in arterial embolic disease.
