Abstract
Knee osteoarthritis is characterized the most by chronic knee pain in the older population. It is believed to be from joint cartilage degradation leading to injury to the rest of the joint structures. Conservative treatments include weight loss, lifestyle changes, aerobic or resistive exercise, oral medication, and intra-articular injections. If conservative management fails, surgery can be considered.
