Abstract

This report describes the history and current use of image-guided sinus surgery. We describe the use of an electromagnetic-based intraoperative image-guided system, the use of preoperative computed tomography scanning, the instrumentation, and the intraoperative setup. We also present 2 cases in which the system was used. Finally, we describe the emphasis of image-guided sinus surgery in the educational curriculum at our institution.
