Abstract
Parental health education is important for many reasons. First, parents play a critical role in managing their children’s disease.1 Second, effective management of a paediatric illness, whether acute or chronic, requires involvement of both children and their families. Lack of parental knowledge about their child’s illness leads to lower adherence to the drug and management plan, 2 underestimation of severity of illness and delayed seeking of medical care.
