Abstract

Abdominal angiography was performed in five cases of ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms. In four the diagnosis of a ruptured aneurysm was not suspected clinically. Angiographic findings included an irregular collection of contrast outside the opacified aortic lumen or calcified aneurysm which persisted after contrast cleared from the aorta, localized saccular dilatation of the aorta in which contrast remained after being cleared from the aorta, and an aortocaval fistula.
